エジプトの検察当局がモルシ前大統領を殺人扇動罪で訴追したと、国営メディアが明らかにした。
時事通信によると、モルシ氏は2012年12月の反政権デモの際に殺人を扇動した罪で訴追されたという。訴追されたのはモルシ氏のほか、イスラム組織「ムスリム同胞団」幹部ベルタギ氏ら14人。軍主導の暫定政権が、同胞団を弾圧する勢いが増している。
ロイターによると訴追の対象となった反政権デモは、モルシ氏が大統領の権限を強化したことをきっかけに首都カイロの大統領府前で発生したもの。モルシ氏は、さらに2011年のエジプト革命の際に脱獄した容疑などでも取り調べを受けているという。
一方で、2011年の政変で退陣し、汚職など複数の罪で起訴されたムバラク元大統領は8月22日に保釈されるなど、旧体制の復権が進む。エジプト革命で重要な役割を果たした「エジプト同胞団」の弾圧が深まるのと好対照となっている。
