ムバラク元大統領の保釈決定 モルシ前大統領は拘束継続

2011年の反政権デモで辞任し、汚職など複数の罪で起訴されたエジプトのムバラク元大統領(85)を保釈されることが決まった。エジプトの国営通信の発表をが伝えた。拘束中のモルシ前大統領支持派が「旧体制への逆戻り」と反発するのは必至で、緊張がさらに高まりそうだ。

ロイターによると、元大統領は汚職などの容疑の審理のため収監されているが、裁判所は8月19日、元大統領の拘束を続けることはできないとの判断を決定。

元大統領の弁護士はロイターに対し、「現在残されているのは事務手続きのみで、48時間以内に完了する見通しだ。元大統領が週末までに釈放される可能性がある」と述べた。

ただ、ある司法筋は、元大統領の保釈については確認しなかったものの、審理中の容疑に関する判断が下されるまで、元大統領の拘留は向こう2週間続くとの見方を示している。

■ モルシ前大統領の拘束新たに15日間延長

エジプト司法当局は19日、イスラム組織ムスリム同胞団出身のモルシ前大統領を、暴力を扇動した疑いで新たに15日間拘束するよう命じた。時事通信が伝えた。

ロイターによると、延長は前大統領が「暴力的な行動」に加担したとの疑いに関する捜査に関連するものとしている。前週15日には、法務当局が別の理由でモルシ氏の拘留期限を30日間延長したばかり。モルシ氏の拘留場所は明らかにされていない。

■ 移送中のモルシ前大統領派が逃走図り36人死亡 治安部隊、意図的に殺害か

エジプトの国営通信は、首都カイロ北方で18日、拘束されて大型車両で移送中のモルシ前大統領支持派の集団が逃走を図り、治安部隊が催涙ガスを使って鎮圧、36人が死亡した。死因は窒息や圧死。モルシ派は52人が死亡したと発表し「殺人だ」と非難したという。共同通信が伝えた。

エジプトの内務省によると、18日夜には、治安部隊が拘束したムスリム同胞団の支持者600人余りをカイロ近郊の留置施設へ移送していたところ、一部が逃げようとしたため、治安部隊は護送車の中に催涙ガスを発射するなどして鎮圧したという。内務省によると、催涙ガスを大量に吸って窒息するなどして36人が死亡したということだが、ムスリム同胞団側は、治安部隊が意図的に殺害した可能性があると非難している

■ シナイ半島で武将勢力が治安部隊を襲撃、25人死亡

またブルームバーグの現地からの報道によると、エジプト東部のシナイ半島で19日、武装勢力が治安部隊の要員を乗せたバスをロケット弾で攻撃し、少なくとも25人が死亡した。エジプト内務省の電子メールでの発表によれば、パレスチナ自治区ガザとの境界にあるラファの近くで19日早く、警察官の乗ったミニバス2台が襲撃を受けた。重傷者も2人いるとしている。
