「休眠口座の情報」2万2000人分を紛失 三菱東京UFJ銀行

三菱東京UFJ銀行は2月24日、10年以上お金の出し入れがない「休眠口座」の顧客情報を紛失したと発表した。紛失したのは、顧客名や口座番号、残高などが書かれた約2万1400件分の内部資料。全国に617ある支店や出張所のうち90の店で休眠口座の明細表がなくなっていた。

三菱東京UFJ銀行は2月24日、10年以上も金銭が出し入れがない「休眠口座」の顧客情報を紛失したと発表した。紛失したのは、顧客名や口座番号、残高などが書かれた約2万2000件分の内部資料。全国に617ある支店や出張所のうち90の店で休眠口座の明細表がなくなっていた。同銀行はプレスリリースで以下のように説明している。

今回紛失が判明した資料は、お客さまからのご照会に備えて保管していたものですが、保存期間が経過した他の資料・帳票類とともに誤って行内で廃棄した可能性が高く、外部へ情報が流出した可能性は極めて低いものと考えております。

三菱東京UFJ銀行によると暗証番号・パスワードの資料は残っている。今回、顧客情報を紛失した休眠口座についても、通常の預金と同じく通帳・証書、届け印、本人確認できる資料を提示することで払戻しできるという。同行は「お客さまへご心配をおかけすることとなり、誠に申し訳なく、深くお詫び申し上げます」と謝罪している。

この件に関する窓口は、フリーダイヤル(0120-950-799)で受けつける。24日は午後9時まで、25日から28日は午前9時から午後9時まで、3月1日以降は午前9時から午後6時までとなっている。

今回、休眠口座情報の紛失が判明した支店は以下の通り。
