［１０日 ロイター］ - テニスのマドリード・オープンは１０日、マドリードで男子シングルス準決勝を行い、第１０シードの錦織圭は第５シードのダビド・フェレール（スペイン）を７─６、５─７、６─３で下し、決勝に進出した。
決勝では世界ランク１位で第１シードのラファエル・ナダル（スペイン）と対戦する。ナダルは錦織との対戦ではこれまで６戦全勝。今大会、１セットも落としていない。
先月クレーコートでの初優勝を達成した錦織は、最新の世界ランキングで日本の男子選手では初のトップ１０入りを果たす。
