イギリス・マンチェスターのコンサート会場で5月22日に自爆テロ事件が発生し、現地では悲しみが広がっている。
事件発生以降、市内では地元の人々がマンチェスター出身のロックバンド・Oasis（オアシス）のヒット曲「Don't Look Back in Anger（ドント・ルック・バック・イン・アンガー）」を合唱する一幕がみられた。
オアシスは、マンチェスター出身のリアム・ギャラガー（ボーカル）、ノエル・ギャラガー（リードギター＆ボーカル）兄弟がフロントマンとして活躍したロックバンド。1991年に結成し、2009年に解散した。労働階級出身のロックバンドとしてイギリス国内のみならず、世界中の若者から支持を集めた。
テロ発生の翌日23日、市内のチェタム音楽専門学校に通う生徒や教師らが、野外で「Don't Look Back in Anger」を合唱した。
怒りとともに振り返ってはいけない（Don't Look Back in Anger）。いまだ警察の非常線が張られている中、チェタムの生徒や教師たちが希望と支援のメッセージを届けます。
また、イギリス「ガーディアン」紙のジョシュ・ハリデー記者は25日、マンチェスター市内の広場に集まった市民たちが同じ曲を合唱する動画をTwitterに投稿した。動画には、サビ部分のコーラスが進むにつれ合唱が大きくなっていく様子が収められている。
鳥肌ものだ！数分の沈黙のあと、ある女性が歌い始めたオアシスの「Don’t Look Back in Anger」に、マンチェスターの群衆が加わった感動的な瞬間。
オアシスのギャラガー兄弟は、事件後に自身のSNSアカウントを更新し、哀悼の意を表明した。
マンチェスターで起きたことに、とにかくショックを受け、ひどく打ちのめされている。巻き込まれてしまったすべての家族たちに、愛と光を送る。（リアム・ギャラガー）
兄のノエルはラジオ番組に出演した際も事件について言及し、「傷が癒えるまでしばらくかかるだろう」と苦しい胸の内を明かしている。合唱の動画がTwitter上で拡散すると、「マンチェスターの人々を愛している」とのコメントとともに投稿をリツイートした。
