10月16日に日本列島に接近し、伊豆大島に大きな被害をもたらした台風26号。Googleは19日、同社のサービス、「Google 災害マップ」と「Google Earth」に、被災後となる10月17日に撮影した伊豆大島の写真を追加した。Google Earthでは被災地の写真と地図上の位置を照らし合わせながら確認できる。
