元サッカー日本代表の奥大介さん(38)が、10月17日、交通事故で死亡した。沖縄県の宮古島で午前4時頃、軽自動車を運転していた際、電柱に衝突したという。沖縄タイムスが報じた。

元サッカー日本代表の奥大介さん(38)が、10月17日、交通事故で死亡した。沖縄県の宮古島で午前4時頃、軽自動車を運転していた際、電柱に衝突したという。沖縄タイムスが報じた。

現場は、畑や原野に囲まれた見通しの良い片側1車線の直線道路。県警や宮古島署によると、軽自動車は上野交差点から宮国交差点に向けて進行中だった。前の部分が大破し、倒れた電柱付近の雑木林に突っ込んだ状態で見つかった。

奥さんは現役時代、ジュビロ磐田(当時J1。現J2)に長く所属し、磐田の黄金期を築いた。横浜Fマリノスに移籍した後もJ1の2連覇に貢献。日本代表にも選ばれ、2000年にレバノンで開催されたアジアカップなどにも出場している。

一方で私生活では、現役引退後の2013年、妻で女優の佐伯日菜子さんを脅迫したとして逮捕され、その後離婚に至っていた。
