人肉食、逮捕された兄弟が認める パキスタン、自宅から幼児の頭部

パキスタン東部パンジャブ州の辺境の村で4月14日、住民宅から幼児の頭部が発見され、この家に住む男2人が警察に逮捕された。2人は以前にも人肉を食べた事件を起こし、2013年3月に釈放されたばかりだった。

パキスタン東部パンジャブ州の辺境の村で4月14日、住民宅から幼児の頭部が発見され、この家に住む男2人が警察に逮捕された。2人は以前にも人肉を食べた事件を起こし、2013年3月に釈放されたばかりだった。CNNなどが報じた。

パキスタンの刑法には人肉を食べることに対する特定の法律がないため、遺体を冒瀆し、公の秩序を乱した容疑が適用されたという。

警察によると、付近の住民から異臭がするとの通報を受けて14日に民家を捜索したところ、火のついたコンロの近くで切断された幼児の頭部が見つかった。死後5日ほどたっているとみられ、近くの病院で検視を行っている。

警察は、この家に住むモハメド・アリフ・アリ容疑者をその場で逮捕した。兄弟のモハメド・ファルマン・アリ容疑者も数時間後に村の近郊で逮捕された。

調べに対し、両容疑者とも人肉を食べたことを認めているという。

パキスタンの英字紙ドーンなどによると、兄のアリフ容疑者は35歳、弟のファルマン容疑者は30歳。2人は2011年4月にも、墓地から盗んだ女性の遺体を切断してカレーに入れて食べたとして逮捕され、2年間服役していた。

地元警察当局は「幼児の遺体は墓から掘り出されたものだろう」と話している。2人は、これまで墓地から100体以上の遺体を掘り出したとみられるという。
