ポール、49年ぶり武道館に興奮「ヒサシブリ!」【全演奏曲掲載】

元ザ・ビートルズのポール・マッカートニー（72）が28日、1966年のビートルズ初来日以来、49年ぶりに東京・日本武道館のステージに立った。半世紀前、同所で演奏した「イエスタデイ」「ペイパーバック・ライター」をはじめ、2時間20分にわたって全28曲を披露し、客席を埋め尽くした1万人の観客を歓喜させた。

沿道を埋め尽くしたファンの声援に出迎えられたポールは、午後4時33分に会場入り。その後行われたリハーサルでは、京セラドーム大阪、東京ドーム公演では演奏されなかったビートルズの名曲の数々の“音漏れ”に、開場を待つファンの期待は一気に高まった。午後6時20分に開場すると、場内では手拍子や歓声が自然に起こり、場外ではチケットを入手できなかった数百人のファンが、漏れ聴こえる音に耳を澄ませた。

開演予定時間から1時間25分が過ぎた午後7時55分。場内が暗転し、49年ぶりのステージを踏みしめたポールは、地鳴りのような拍手と大歓声に手を振って応えた。注目の1曲目はビートルズの「キャント・バイ・ミー・ラヴ」。演奏後には日本語で「コンバンハ、トーキョー！ ブドウカンヘヨーコソ！」とあいさつし、2曲目の「セイヴ・アス」の後にも「ヒサシブリ、ブドウカン！」と呼びかけた。

4曲目には、今回の来日公演では初披露となるビートルズの「ワン・アフター・909」を演奏。観客の盛り上がりはすさまじく、ポールとバンドもそれに応えるように熱いパフォーマンスで応じる。66年のビートルズの日本武道館公演でも披露された「ペイパーバック・ライター」で往年のファンの涙腺を刺激すると、65年に発表されたビートルズのアルバム『ヘルプ！』の収録曲「アナザー・ガール」を、ポールいわくライブでは世界初披露した。

「イッショニ、ウタオウヨ！」との呼びかけとともに演奏された「オブ・ラ・ディ、オブ・ラ・ダ」ではさらに大盛り上がり。「レット・イット・ビー」と「ヘイ・ジュード」では1万人がリストバンド式のライトを揺らし、場内が光で埋めつくされると、ポールは「みんな最高だよ！」と興奮した。

アンコールを求める大歓声に応えてステージに戻り、「ブドウカン！」「ブドウカン！」と観客とのコール＆レスポンスを楽しむと、演奏し始めたのは「イエスタデイ」。ポピュラー音楽史を代表する珠玉の名曲が、約半世紀という時を超え、同じ“ロックの聖地”で再び歌われる歴史的瞬間が実現した。

ラストはメドレーの「ゴールデン・スランバー～キャリー・ザット・ウェイト～ジ・エンド」で締めくくり。すべての演奏を終えると「みんなビューティフルだよ、武道館！ マタアイマショウ！ マタネ！ See you next time！」と再会を約束し、ステージをあとにした。

昨年5月、来日後の体調不良で全4公演の中止を余儀なくされたポールは、今回のツアーで5公演を完遂し、のべ20万人を酔わせた。
