1 記事の紹介

中国メディア・BWCHINESE中文網が「11日、日本のネット上で頻繁に「中国人と韓国人の違い」が論議されているとした上で、その内容を紹介した」ものを記事にしたものです。

「日本の大型掲示板では頻繁に『中国人と韓国人の違い』について論議されている」として、以下のとおりだと紹介しています。

・中国人は金がらみの犯罪が多い、韓国人は性犯罪が多い

・中国人は3K仕事もいとわないが、韓国人は決してやらない

・中国人は質素な生活でも気にしないが、韓国人は破産してでも贅沢な暮らしをしたがる

・中国は欧米に近い男女平等社会だが、韓国は極端な男尊女卑社会

・中国人は証拠を突きつけられれば罪を認めるが、韓国人は死んでも認めない

・中国では芸能人以外は整形しない、韓国は国民の大半が整形している

・中国人はパクリ製品を売る時にパクリであることを隠そうとしない。韓国人はパクリを隠すだけでなく、盗み取った他国の文化も「韓国起源」を主張する

・中国人は上司が女性でも仕事を辞めないが、韓国では上司が女性に変わった途端、辞める人が続出する

2 国民性

「日本の大型掲示板」とは2ちゃんねるのことかと思うのですが、正直そのまま翻訳したというよりは、多少中国よりに改変されているのではないかというのが正直な感想です。

私も結構国民性という議論は好きで、「日本人にはこういう傾向がある」「中国人にはこういう傾向がある」というエントリーを何度かしております(夏にスーツを着る日本人の融通の利かなさと賄賂)。

しかし、その一方でこうした国民性という議論は先入観(ステレオタイプ)につながりかねない危険性があると思っています(ネットの誹謗中傷と実際の行動)。

例えば、以前エントリーした台湾=「親日」、韓国=「反日」という話などが典型かと思いますが(台湾が「親日」で、韓国が「反日」な理由)、当然例外は数多く存在し、台湾でも日本が嫌いな人がいれば、韓国でも日本に好意を寄せている方はおられます(韓国の親日と「中2病」)。

特に、韓国の場合は公と私の区別が激しく、公に意見を述べるときは反日でも、個人的に話したり、つきあったりする場合には、礼儀正しく「反日」など微塵のかけらも見せないという方も結構おられます。

そういう意味で、あくまでこうした国民性というのは1つの「参考」にしか過ぎないわけで、実際は自分の相手となる方がどの様な人か一人一人きちんと見ることが求められるわけですが、これは別に外国人に限った話ではありません(大阪人をステレオタイプで見ない等)。

3 中国と韓国

ここで、元記事に戻るわけですが、先にも述べたとおり、韓国人の部分は多分そのままだと思うのですが、中国人の部分は多少改変してあるのではと考えています。

確かに、中国では男女平等にかなり気を使っているのは間違いなく、日本のことを男尊女卑社会と批判したりします(中国に新天地を求める女性とそれに対する反応)し、実際、職場で働く女性というのも良く見かけます。

ただ、中国で男女差別がないかというとそんなことはなく、男女の出生率が全く違うことからもわかるとおり、男性が有利だというのは間違いないようです。

それに女性の配置などを見るとわかりますが、本当に重要なところにはつかせず、「副」にとどめておく例や、格的に女性が担当する部署の様なものをつくっておき、そこに配置するため、形的にはそれなりの役職につくわけですが、実際はという例はかなりみかけます。

これもあくまで私の印象にすぎませんが、中国では「民工」に代表されるように、3Kを厭わない人がいることは確かです。労働法規的にどうかという問題はありますが、実際、彼らは低賃金で本当に長時間働きます。

それに対し、韓国では、両班(官僚)階級の子孫と自称している方が多いことからもわかる様に、低い地位にいることを恥だと考える方や、権威主義的な発想に立つ方が多い傾向はあるように思います。

呉善花氏の本(『なぜ「反日韓国に未来はない」のか』(小学館新書) 、『困った隣人 韓国の急所』(祥伝社新書、井沢元彦との共著)等を読むと韓国(人)に辛辣な見方をしているなと思う反面、納得できるところもあるというのが私の感想です。

ただ、先に述べたようにこうした国民性はあくまで参考(お遊び)程度にとどめておくべきで、あまり絶対視するべきものではないと思っております。
