イギリスのウィリアム王子とキャサリン妃一家が9月24日、カナダを訪問し、ブリティッシュコロンビア州のビクトリアで出迎えたジャスティン・トルドー首相夫妻と面会した。
ウィリアム王子夫妻がカナダを訪れるのは2011年以来で、結婚式が終わった直後のことだった。
今回は3歳のジョージ王子と1歳のシャーロット王女が、ブリティッシュコロンビア州とユーコン準州を訪問する両親についてやって来た。
ウィリアム王子夫妻と一緒に飛行機のタラップを降りる兄妹はとてもかわいらしかった。

ジョージ王子にとっては2度目の海外訪問となる。初めての訪問先はオーストラリアだった。シャーロット王女にとっては今回が初めて。
一家は服装を青系の色で揃えていた。
ジョージ王子は襟のあるシャツに青いセーター、黒のショートパンツにハイソックス。シャーロット王女は淡い青色の柄の入ったドレスに、ヘアリボンを付けていた。

幼い王子と王女は滞在中のほとんどをビクトリアで過ごし、ウィリアム王子とキャサリン妃は11日以上かけて太平洋沿岸を移動する。しかし子供たちも1日か2日は両親に同行する。
またトルドー首相とソフィ・グレゴワ夫人も数日同行し、王子夫妻を案内する予定だ。
今回の訪問では、トルドー首相の子供たち、グザヴィエ、エラ＝グラース、アドリアンを含む首相一家が集まるところを見られるかもしれない。運が良ければ、子供たちが遊ぶ約束をした日がスケジュールに加わるかもしれない。
