イスラム教の神聖な月「ラマダン」(断食月)明けの3日間の祝祭「イード・アル・フィトル」が7月28日、世界の多くのイスラム教国で始まった。イスラム教徒にとってはお正月のようなもので、人々は「今年もおめでとう」と祝い合い、ごちそうを楽しむ。

イスラム教国では、パレスチナ自治区ガザやイラク、リビアなど武力衝突が深刻化している場所も少なくない。しかし子供たちとって、イードは新しい服と靴を身に着け、菓子折りを持って親戚回りをするとても楽しいものだ。子供たちの姿を写真で紹介する。
