プロゴルファーの石川遼さん（24）が3月2日、交際していた中学時代の同級生と同日、結婚したことを自身の公式サイトで明らかにした。
石川さんは、「ファンのみなさまへ」と題し、「これからもプロゴルファーとしてさらに成長できるように頑張っていきたい」などとメッセージをつづった。
私事ではありますが、いつも応援してくださっている皆様にご報告があります。
私、石川遼は、かねてからお付き合いをしていた一般女性の方と本日入籍した事を慎んで報告させていただきます。
これからもプロゴルファーとしてさらに成長できるよう頑張っていきたいと思いますので、ご声援よろしくお願いします。

石川さんは杉並学院高（東京）1年の2007年に国内ツアーを史上最年少の15歳で制して注目された。翌08年にプロ転向し、09年には18歳で日本ツアー最年少賞金王となった。
石川さんは11年10月に中学時代の同級生と交際していることを発表。12年3月に婚約していた。
今季は2月初旬に腰と股関節の痛みを発症したためAT&Tペブルビーチ・プロアマ、ノーザントラスト・オープンと2週連続で欠場し、一時帰国して治療を受けていた。
