香港アクション映画界のスター俳優、サモ・ハン・キンポー（サモ・ハン）が来日し、4月4日午後5時からのTOKYO MXの情報番組「5時に夢中！」に出演する。
TOKYO MXはサイトで「SPゲスト香港映画スターのサモハンキンポーがまさかの登場！伝説の男ブルースリー＆盟友ジャッキーらとの秘話を語る！」と紹介している。
映画のプロモーションとしては11年ぶりに来日したサモ・ハン・キンポーは4日、ニッカンスポーツコムの取材に応じた。同紙はサモ・ハン・キンポーが「『年は取ったけど元気だよ。健康であれば、仕事が出来る。長生きして仕事がしたい』と豪語。ともに一時代を築いたジャッキー・チェン（62）との共演にも意欲を見せた」と伝えた。
監督兼主演の新作映画「おじいちゃんはデブゴン」（5月27日公開）を携えて日本にやってきたサモ・ハン・キンポー。巨体を生かした腕折りやボディアタックなど、往年のカンフーアクションを披露している。
サモ・ハン・キンポーは「燃えよデブゴン」（日本公開は1981年）で日本でも人気者に。1983年「五福星」でアクション・コメディに新分野を開拓、製作・監督として手腕を発揮する。ほかの監督・出演作に「燃えよドラゴン」（73年、出演のみ）、「プロジェクトA」（84年、出演のみ）、「ナイスガイ」（97年）、「無問題」（99年）、「カンフーシェフ」（2008年）など。
サモ・ハン・キンポーは、ハリウッド進出を機に英名をからサモ・ハンに変更している。
