韓国の国会議事堂などが立ち並ぶソウル中心部の中州・汝矣島（ヨイド）にある謎の地下施設が、8月15日前後に公開されることになった。
聯合ニュースによると、この施設が発見されたのは2005年4月、ソウル市が汝矣島にバスターミナルを整備するため、周辺を現地調査していて見つかった。
司令所とトイレ、機械室を備えた約530平方mと、ソファ、トイレ、シャワー室がある約65平方mの、2つの部屋からなる。
発見当時、この地下室には鍵がかけられていた。施設管理者も存在しなかった。図面も存在せず、韓国軍の首都防衛司令部にも記録はない。ソウル市は、1960～70年代の故・朴正熙大統領の時代に、朴大統領ら要人を万が一の時に備えて避難させる防空壕だったと推定している。
ソウル市は発見翌年の2006年には、この地下室を改修して市民のレジャー施設に再利用する予定だった。しかし採算性に乏しいと評価されて計画は延期になり、2015年になった今でも使われていないという。
