サッカー、スペイン・バルセロナの下部組織に所属する久保建英（たけふさ）くん（13）が、同クラブを退団して日本に帰国する。地元紙スペイン「ムンド・デポルティボ」の報道として、Goal.comなどが3月30日伝えた。久保くんは、「日本のメッシ」として地元でも将来性を高く評価されていた。
FIFAは昨年４月、バルセロナが１８歳未満の外国人選手獲得・登録に違反があったとして、今後２度の移籍市場での補強禁止を決定。違反によって獲得したとされる９選手の一人が久保くんであり、そのために１年半以上も公式戦に出場できない状況が続いていた。久保くんはプレーできない状況に我慢ができず、両親も日本に帰国することを真剣に考慮していたとされる。
久保くんの両親はその後もバルセロナに在籍し続ける可能性を模索したものの、結局は退団することを決断したようだ。久保くんは数日中に日本へと戻る予定で、２７日には自身が所属するインファンティル（１３～１４歳年代）のAチームのチームメートに別れを告げたという。

国際サッカー連盟（FIFA）は基本的に未成年者の国際移籍を禁止している。J1川崎の育成チームに所属していた当時小学4年生の久保くんは、2011年8月にバルセロナの下部組織の入団テストに合格していた。
日刊スポーツによると、「国際移籍を禁止」の例外は（1）両親がサッカー以外の理由で移住した場合（2）16歳以上18歳未満でEU圏内、欧州経済領域（EEA）圏内での移籍（3）自宅が移籍先の国境から50キロ以内にあり、移籍先のクラブも国境から50キロ以内にある場合だ。しかしFIFAは、久保くんを（1）に該当するとは認めず、スペインでプレーするためだけに親が移住したと判断したと見られている。
久保くんは、繊細なボールタッチやパス技術で将来を期待されている。
