テスラ「モデルS P85D」の爆発的な「Insane（狂気的）」モードを体験すると、人によって様々な反応を見せるようだ。0-60mph（約96.6km/h）わずか3.2秒という急加速に、子供のようにはしゃぐ人もいれば、驚きのあまり少々品を失ってしまう人もいる。今回は、主に後者の反応を集めたビデオをご紹介しよう。
先日のドラッグレースで、モデルS P85Dがダッジ「チャレンジャーSRTヘルキャット」を負かした頃、ドラッグレースの情報サイト『Drag Times』のCEOであるブルックス・ワイズブラット氏は、自身が所有するテスラに友人たちを乗せ、その様子を撮影していたようだ。アクセルを踏み込むと、被害者となった人たちは、年配のご婦人であってもマッチョな若者であっても、口を大きく開けて色を失い、やや下品な言葉を口走り驚きを表現した。
また、ゲームディレクターやミュージシャンとしても活動しているラファエル・コラントニオ氏も、友人たちをモデルS P85Dに乗せ、彼らが驚きのあまり卑語と笑いを抑えきれない様子を撮影している。この２人のテスラオーナーがそれぞれ撮影した、ブルックス氏の卑語を伏せたバージョンのビデオと卑語の入ったラファエル氏のビデオを見て、人々のリアクションを楽しんでいただきたい。
