タイ軍が5月22日にクーデターを宣言して夜間外出禁止令を出したことを受けて、トヨタ自動車とホンダがタイ工場の夜間操業の中止を決めるなど、日本企業の事業運営にも影響が出始めた。

タイ軍が5月22日にクーデターを宣言して夜間外出禁止令を出したことを受けて、トヨタ自動車とホンダがタイ工場の夜間操業の中止を決めるなど、日本企業の事業運営にも影響が出始めた。時事ドットコムなどが報じた。

トヨタは軍事クーデターが発表された直後、軍が国民生活に影響を及ぼさない意向を示していることから、22日夜は通常通りに工場を稼働させる方針だった。しかし、夜間外出禁止令が出たため、急きょ夜間操業を中止。ホンダもタイ工場の同日夜の操業を取りやめ、従業員を帰宅させた。

トヨタは23日の操業は通常通り朝から行う方針だが、同日の夜間操業は情勢を見て決める。一方、パナソニックはタイにある電子部品などの工場について、夜間操業するかどうかの判断を日本側で行わず、現地に委ねている。

タイは日本企業にとって東南アジア戦略の拠点と言え、生産拠点や店舗が多く、JETRO(日本貿易振興機構)によると1500社余りが進出しているという。

大手デパートの「三越伊勢丹ホールディングス」は、バンコク市内の店舗の閉店時間を1時間繰り上げ22日午後8時に閉めました。

さらに大手コンビニエンスストアの「ローソン」は、バンコクを中心にある24時間営業の店舗およそ30店について、午後9時から翌朝の午前6時までの時間帯の営業を一時、休止することを決めました。

MSN産経ニュースが外務省海外邦人安全課の話として伝えたところ、タイ国内には約5万6千人の日本人が滞在。そのうち約4万人がクーデターの起きた首都バンコクにいるとされるが、これまでにけが人の情報は入っていないという。旅行会社も情報収集やツアー客らへの対応に追われた。

タイ旅行を多く取り扱う旅行会社のエイチ・アイ・エス(東京都新宿区)は22日夜、翌日以降に出発するツアーの予約客と連絡を取り、予定通りツアーを行うことを伝えた。広報担当者は「現地からは、観光に影響が出るような変化はないと聞いている。ツアーを中止するほどではないと判断した」と説明。クーデターの情報が夜だったため、キャンセルは入っていないが、予約客には現地の情報などを伝え、了解を得ているという。

菅義偉官房長官は23日の閣議後会見で、タイのクーデターについて「このような事態の発生は遺憾であり、民主的な政治体制が速やかに回復されることを強く求めていきたい」と語った
