東芝、富士通、VAIOがパソコン事業統合交渉へ

各社の戦略を見てみると…

東芝、富士通、VAIOの3社が、パソコン事業を統合する検討に入った。不適切会計問題で業績悪化を受けた東芝が、苦戦したパソコン事業を切り離すねらい。実現すれば、NECレノボグループを抜いて国内首位のパソコン企業が誕生する。12月4日、47NEWSなどが報じた。

パソコン業界では、2015年11月に富士通がパソコン事業の分社化を発表。HPの事業分社化に続き、業界内の事業再構築が続いている。

MM総研によると、特に個人向けのパソコン個人市場向け出荷台数が減少しており、市場の落ち込みが大きい。各社の戦略はシェア拡大を前提とした「価格戦略」と、ニッチ市場、もしくは独自の価値で顧客を囲い込む「付加価値戦略」に二分されるとみられているが、VAIOが高級機種戦略を打ち出しているのに対し、東芝は個人向けを縮小して法人向けに幅広いラインナップを展開する戦略、富士通は女性向け・アクティブシニア向けといったターゲットを明確化した製品投入戦略と、各社の戦略は異なることから、今後の行方に注目が集まる。
