ウクライナ東部ドネツク州スラビャンスク近郊で２０日未明に銃撃戦が発生、少なくとも３人が死亡した。
欧米とロシア、ウクライナは１７日の４者協議で事態鎮静化策に合意したが、実効性は早くも揺らいでいる。
親ロシア派の関係者らがロイターに対して述べたところによると、車両４台が現地時間午前２時ごろ、親ロ派が設けた検問所に接近、発砲した。親ロ派から３人の死者が出たほか、４人が負傷したとしている。
親ロシア派は、襲撃したのはウクライナ系住民の多い同国西部を拠点とする極右連合「右派セクター」だと主張。一方、「右派セクター」は襲撃を否定しており、ロシアの特殊部隊が関与したと非難している。
ジュネーブでまとまった４者合意後で、死者が出たのははじめて。
４者合意が失敗に終われば、ウクライナ東部の情勢は一段と緊迫化しかねず、米国政府がロシアへの制裁をさらに強化する可能性もある。［スラビャンスク／イェナーキイェヴェ （ウクライナ） ２０日 ロイター］
