「保育園落ちた日本死ね」などと書いた匿名ブログについて、東京都杉並区の田中裕太郎区議（40）が、自身のブログに「便所の落書き」と書いたことに批判が続出している。田中区議は自民党員で現在2期目、1人会派「美しい杉並」に所属する。
田中区議は3月13日、「震災犠牲者に恥じない日本を」と題した文章をブログに掲載した。前日に訪れた千葉県の九十九里浜の海岸で、東日本大震災の被災者に思いを馳せる中で「私達は、彼らに恥ずかしくない生き方を出来ているかどうか」と自問自答したとして、次のように記述した。
巷では、インターネット上に「日本死ね」などと書き込む不心得者や、そんな便所の落書きをおだてる愚かなマスコミ、便所の落書きにいちいち振り回される愚かな政治家があとをたちません。
事情はどうあれ、「死ね」というほど日本が嫌なら、日本に住まなければ良いのです。
たった５年前の震災で２万人近くの方が無念のうちに命を落とされたにもかかわらず、よくも「日本死ね」などという暴言を思いつくものです。右往左往する票乞食たちもみっともない。無視すればいいだけの話ではありませんか。
だいたい、イクメン議員をもてはやした連中と、「日本死ね」を持ち上げている連中は、面子がほぼ同じです。このことがすべてを物語っています。

田中区議の記述について、コメント欄では「震災と子育てを関連付けて論じるとかどうかしてる」「あんたのブログこそ便所の落書き」などの意見が続出。Twitterでも批判が広がっている。
産経ニュースの取材に対して、田中区議は「東日本大震災では生きたくても生きられなかった人が何万人もいる。（日本死ねと）ブログで書くのは自由だが、倫理観が問われる」と話し、ネット上で批判を受けて削除などはしない方針を明らかにしたという。
