フィギュアスケート女子の鈴木明子が3月31日、正式に引退発表をした。30日夜に日本スケート連盟に引退届を出したと自身のTwitterで明かしている。選手は引退するが、今後もスケートは続けるという。
鈴木明子は3月28日に29歳の誕生日を迎えたばかり。29日には、さいたまスーパーアリーナで開かれたフィギュアスケート世界選手権で第6位となり、22年間のスケート人生を締めくくった。
