アンドレア・デ・チェザリス氏、元F1レーサーが死去

元F1ドライバーのアンドレア・デ・チェザリス氏が、イタリアのローマで起きたバイク事故で死去した。55歳だった。

元F1ドライバーとして知られるアンドレア・デ・チェザリス氏が10月5日、イタリアのローマで起きたバイク事故で死去した。55歳だった。

イタリアのラ・レプッブリカ紙によると、チェザリス氏はローマ市内の環状道路をバイクで走行中に、コントロールを失いガードレールに激しく衝突した。即死だったという。

ローマ出身のチェザリス氏は、1980年にアルファロメオでF1にデビュー。マクラーレンやティレルなどの有名チームで活躍した。最高順位は2位（1983年のドイツおよび南アフリカ）。1982年には22歳でポールポジションを獲得した当時最年少のドライバーとなった。

モータースポーツを引退した後は、通貨トレーダーとして成功した。

チェザリス氏のニュースを受け、マクラーレンは「哀悼の意を表する」とツイートした。
