アジア太平洋経済協力会議(APEC)首脳会議は11日、首脳宣言を発表し、中国が後押しする自由貿易の枠組み「アジア太平洋自由貿易圏(FTAAP)」を推進する方針をあらためて示した。

[北京 11日 ロイター] - アジア太平洋経済協力会議(APEC)首脳会議は11日、首脳宣言を発表し、中国が後押しする自由貿易の枠組み「アジア太平洋自由貿易圏(FTAAP)」を推進する方針をあらためて示した。総意に基づき、段階的に推進する。2年間にわたって研究を進める方針も表明した。

FTAAPをめぐっては、米国が主導する環太平洋経済連携協定(TPP)への関心をそらす手段との見方も出ている。

首脳宣言は「APECは、FTAAPをビジョンから現実に移すための孵卵器(インキュベーター)としての、より重要で意義のある貢献を進めることで合意した」と明記。

「FTAAPはAPECの枠外で、APECのプロセスと並行して実現される。FTAAPの実現に向けた貢献について、APECは拘束力のない自主的な協力の原則を維持する」としている。
