韓国のテレビキャスターがアシアナ機事故で亡くなった乗客が中国人であったことについて「私たちの立場としては幸い」という内容の発言をしたことに対し、批判が殺到している。

このキャスターは韓国のテレビ局「チャンネルA」の所属。米サンフランシスコ国際航空でアシアナ航空機が着陸失敗した事故について伝えるニュースの中で、「死亡した2人は中国人とみられることがわかった」、「私たちの立場としては幸いということができる」などと発言したという。

ニュースが報じられた後、発言がネット上で話題になり、テレビ局に対して「不適切だ」といった批判が寄せられ、「中国人に謝罪すべきだ」などのコメントが各サイトに書き込まれた。中国メディアでも取り上げられ、怒りのコメントが殺到した。

共同通信も以下のように伝えている。

韓国メディアによると、韓国紙、東亜日報系のテレビ局「チャンネルA」のアナウンサーが事故の報道で「死亡者2人が中国人と確認された。私たちとしては幸いだった」とコメント。この発言が中国メディアによって報道されると、同国のインターネット上では「中国人は人ではないのか」「恥知らずな発言だ」と非難が殺到、テレビ局は視聴者に謝罪した。

Kstyleによると、チャンネルA側は報道資料を通じてユン・ギョンミンキャスターの発言について「ユン・ギョンミン部長は『死亡者の中に韓国人がいないという事実が私たちとしては幸いだ』という点を強調するためのコメントであった。しかし生放送中にずさんな進行となったことに対して謝罪を申し上げる」と釈明したという。
