タイの首都バンコク中心部の繁華街で17日夜大きな爆発があり、これまで少なくとも12人が死亡、30人が負傷した。

タイの首都バンコク中心部の繁華街で17日夜大きな爆発があり、これまで少なくとも12人が死亡、30人が負傷した。BBCなどが報じた。

現場にいるBBC記者によると、爆発は現地時間午後7時に発生。遺体の破片が飛び散っている状況だと報じた。

ガーディアン紙によると、タイの国家警察幹部はロイターの取材に対し、「今わかっているのは、バンコクの中心部でオートバイに積まれた爆弾が爆発したということぐらいだ」と述べ、死者が出ているがまだ詳細は確認できていないという。

NHKによると、現場近くには日系のデパートがあり、日本人観光客もよく訪れる場所で、日本大使館では日本人が巻き込まれていないか、現在確認しているという。また、NHKの現地取材班によると、エラワン寺院付近でシートにくるまれた複数の遺体がみられるという。
