タイの首都バンコクの中心部で8月17日に起きた爆弾テロで、負傷者の中に、31歳の日本人男性が含まれていることが新たに判明した。意識不明の重体となっているという。時事ドットコムなどが報じた。

タイの首都バンコクで17日発生した爆弾テロで、バンコクの警察病院は18日未明、記者会見し、日本人男性が事件に巻き込まれ重体となっていることを明らかにした。男性は神奈川県出身の安藤紘太さん(31)。内臓に損傷を負うなどして緊急手術を受けた。集中治療室(ICU)で治療を受けているという。

病院などによると、これまでに20人が死亡し、このうち少なくとも4人は中国や台湾、フィリピン出身者を含む外国人。負傷者は120人以上に達した。

一方、暫定政府のサンスーン副報道官によると、プラユット暫定首相は「(軍がクーデターで治安を回復した)現状に不満がある勢力の仕業だ」と地元テレビに答えた。また、プラウィット副首相兼国防相は「犯人はタイの経済と観光に打撃を与えることを狙ったのは明白だ」と述べた。

爆発が起きたのは、ヒンズー教の神を祭った「エラワン廟」と呼ばれるほこらがあるバンコク繁華街の交差点。近くには高級ホテルやバンコク伊勢丹が入ったショッピングセンターなどがあり、訪れる日本人も多い。

爆発後まもなく、警察が現場のラチャプラソン交差点を封鎖。数十台の救急車が到着して騒然となった

タイでは2014年5月、軍部がクーデターでタクシン派政権を打倒し治安態勢を強化、その後、目立った混乱は起きていなかった
