ボコ・ハラムに拉致された女子生徒たち、両親らと再会で歓喜のダンス(動画)

家族との再会を喜ぶ女子生徒たちの1人が、監禁されていた時の様子を語った。

イスラム過激派組織「ボコ・ハラム」が2014年4月にナイジェリア北東部ボルノ州チボクでおよそ270人の女子生徒を拉致した事件で、解放された21人が10月16日、家族と再会した。BBCなどが報じた

ナイジェリアの首都アブジャで16日行われたセレモニーでは、家族との再会を喜ぶ女子生徒たちの1人が、監禁されていた時の様子を語った。

「40日間食べ物が与えられませんでしたが、死ぬことはありませんでした。神に感謝します」と、女子生徒は地元のハウサ語で話した。

女子生徒の多くがクリスチャンで、監禁されている間、ボコ・ハラムからイスラム教に改宗するよう強制されていたという。

もう一人の女性は、「こんな日が来るなんて想像もしていませんでした。でも、神のご加護で、奴隷状態から解放されました」

ニューヨークタイムズによると、女子生徒たちの親は、再会の喜びを次のように語った。

「彼女を産んだ日のように思えました。踊って、踊って、踊りましたよ」

ボコ・ハラムは、2014年4月15日未明、学校を襲撃し、学校を警備していた警察官らを射殺し、生徒たちを拉致した。リーダーのアブバカル・シェカウ師は動画などで、「欧米流の教育をやめさせるために連れ去った。俺がお前達の少女を誘拐した。俺はアラーに従って、少女を人身売買のマーケットで販売する」などと発言していた

ナイジェリア北部を主要活動地域とするスンニ派過激組織「ボコ・ハラム」は「西洋式の教育は罪」という意味で、1990年代中頃に設立されたイスラム教学習グループを母体として2002年頃に設立者モハメド・ユスフ師を中心として結成された。ナイジェリアの「タリバン」を自称し、(1)ナイジェリア政府の打倒、(2)(「ボコ・ハラム」発足地である)ボルノ州におけるシャリーア(イスラム法)施行、(3)西洋式教育の否定などを標榜している。
