11月5日、韓国・ソウル中心部の光化門であった、朴槿恵大統領の辞任を求める2回目の「ろうそくデモ」には、警察発表で4万5000人、主催者推計で20万人以上の人々が集まった。

1週間前の10月29日にあった前回集会の3万人(主催者発表)を大幅に上回り、ここ数年の集会としては最大規模だ。参加者は「朴槿恵退陣」など、思い思いのプラカードを掲げてシュプレヒコールを叫んだ。

大規模なデモは1週間後の11月12日にも予定されている。
