オバマ米大統領は30日、カーニー大統領報道官が来月退任すると発表した。後任にはアーネスト同副報道官が昇格する。 ホワイトハウスの報道官は通常は2年程度で交代するが、カーニー氏は3年以上務めた。

[ワシントン 30日 ロイター] - オバマ米大統領は30日、カーニー大統領報道官が来月退任すると発表した。後任にはアーネスト同副報道官が昇格する。

ホワイトハウスの報道官は通常は2年程度で交代するが、カーニー氏は3年以上務めた。

バイデン米副大統領の報道官だった同氏は2011年に1月に大統領報道官に就任し、翌年のオバマ大統領再選を支えた。

アーネスト氏は2008年の大統領選挙でオバマ陣営に加わった。
