イギリスのウィリアム王子（32）とキャサリン妃（33）の第2子誕生直前といわれるなか、ロンドンのセント・メアリー病院前には病院の前には王室ファンが集まっている。
そんななか、ウィリアム王子夫妻は4月28日の朝、王室関係者を通じて、テントを張って徹夜で病院前で待つ人々に、温かいコーヒーとクロワッサン、デニッシュの朝食を差し入れた。アメリカ「ピープル」誌などが伝えた。
王室ファンのマリア・スコットさんによると、2人の男性が朝9時頃、テントをノックして「おはようございます。ウィリアム王子夫妻からのプレゼントですよ」と伝えたという。スコットさんは、ピンク色のリボンで結ばれた白い箱と、約10杯分のコーヒーを受け取った。
イギリス「デイリーメール」紙によれば、ケンジントン宮殿の広報担当がウィリアム王子夫妻からのサプライズであることを認めたという。
