「最強」のチャド軍がボコ・ハラムを撃退(画像)

ナイジェリアの過激派組織「ボコ・ハラム」の掃討作戦を展開している隣国のチャド軍は2月4日、ボコ・ハラムの戦闘員200人以上を殺害したと発表した。

ナイジェリアの過激派組織「ボコ・ハラム」の掃討作戦を展開している隣国のチャド軍は2月4日、ボコ・ハラムの戦闘員200人以上を殺害したと発表した。BBCが報じた。

チャド軍がナイジェリアに侵攻して以来、最も激しい戦闘となった。

イギリス・ガーディアン紙によると、チャド軍の最高司令官は、4日の戦闘でおよそ100台のバイクや銃火器を装備した戦闘車両を多数破壊したと発表した。第三者による確認はとれていない。

チャド軍はボコ・ハラム掃討作戦で2500人の部隊を展開した。この部隊は、ナイジェリア北部でボコ・ハラムと5年間に及ぶ戦闘を繰り広げている。2014年には、1万人が死亡したとみられる。

毎日新聞によると、チャド軍は砂漠地帯での戦闘に熟練した強力な部隊を持つとされ、「中部アフリカ最強」とも言われている。2014年8月、ボコ・ハラムがナイジェリア北部のボルノ州で97人を拉致した時、85人を救出したと伝えられている。47Newsによると、ナイジェリア国防省報道官はチャド軍がナイジェリア領内に侵攻したことについて、ナイジェリア軍が主導した作戦で、問題はないという認識を示した。
