「犯人はユーモア失っていた」 仏紙風刺漫画家が会見

14日に発行される週刊新聞「シャルリー・エブド」最新号の表紙を描いた風刺漫画家レナルド・ルジエさん(43)が13日、パリ市内で記者会見を開いた。

ルジエさんは最新号の表紙に、涙をこぼすイスラム教の預言者ムハンマドを描いた。「笑わせられるイラストにしようと思った。すると、代表作のムハンマドが浮かんだ。いつも私を笑わせてくれるやつだ。そして、『私はシャルリー』を思いついた。彼は『本当にごめんなさい』と泣いていた。描き終えて、私も泣いた」と話した。

新聞社襲撃事件の容疑者については、「ちょっと距離を置いて世界を見る。それがシャルリーだ。彼らはその心を失っていた」と同情的な見方を示した。
