チェルノブイリ原発3号機から煙　ウクライナ当局「放射線量変わりない」

ウクライナの国家原子力規制監視局は6月13日、チェルノブイリ原発の敷地内にある一部施設から煙が上がったと発表した。事態は収束し、付近の放射線量に変化はないという。

ウクライナの国家原子力規制監視局は6月13日、チェルノブイリ原発の敷地内にある一部施設から煙が上がったと発表した。事態は収束し、付近の放射線量に変化はないという。

監視局によると、煙が上がったのは3号機内の施設。13日午後4時ごろに作業員が発見した。緊急事態省の職員も駆けつけて対処したという。監視局はそれ以上の詳しい情報を明らかにしていない。

3号機は事故が起きた4号機に隣接しており、2000年12月に原子炉の運転が停止。その後燃料棒も取り出され、原発敷地内の保管施設に移された。

チェルノブイリ原発をめぐっては、ウクライナがまだソ連の一部だった1986年に4号機の原子炉が爆発して大量の放射性物質が拡散。半径30キロ圏内の居住は禁止された。

電力不足への懸念から1～3号機はその後も稼働し続け、3号機の停止で全原発の運転が止まった。

現在も廃炉作業は続いており、4号機については施設全体を覆う新たな巨大シェルターが2016年に完成。放射性物質の飛散を防ぎながら溶けた核燃料の取り出しや施設の解体を進める。作業は数十年かかるとされている。

一方、1～3号機についても解体することが決まっている。
