政府、与党は１２月５日に決定する経済対策に、児童手当の拡充を盛り込む方向で検討に入った。複数の政府筋が明らかにした。いまの受給世帯を対象に１カ月分を１回限りで追加支給し、来年４月の消費増税に伴う家計への影響を和らげる狙い。
公明党の石井啓一政調会長が２１日午後、菅義偉官房長官に申し入れた。
政府筋によると、支給額は年齢に応じて１人当たり１万円から１万５０００円程度になる見通し。今後、詳細を詰めたうえで経済対策に盛り込み、１２月１２日に編成する５兆円規模の２０１３年度補正予算で２０００億円程度の財源を手当てする。
追加支給する時期については来年６月を軸に検討されているが、調整の過程で前後する可能性もある。
安倍晋三首相が１０月１日に経済対策の概要とともに示した減税措置は企業優遇に偏り、与党内でも「家計支援が手薄」との批判が強い。東日本大震災の復興財源に充てる特別法人税を予定より１年早い１３年度末に打ち切れるかも不透明で、家計支援への姿勢を鮮明にし、妥協点を探る狙いもありそうだ。
