薄熙来被告に無期懲役 中国共産党の「派閥争い」と醒めた声も

中国共産党の最高指導部入りを有力視されながら失脚した元重慶市党委員会書記の薄熙来(はく・きらい)被告に無期懲役の判決が下った。収賄と横領、職権乱用の罪に問われた裁判の判決公判が9月22日、山東省の済南市中級人民法院(地裁に相当)で開かれれた結果だったと、朝日新聞デジタルが報じている。

中国共産党の最高指導部入りを有力視されながら失脚した元重慶市党委員会書記の薄熙来(はく・きらい)被告に無期懲役の判決が下った。収賄と横領、職権乱用の罪に問われた裁判の判決公判が9月22日、山東省の済南市中級人民法院(地裁に相当)の結果だと、朝日新聞デジタルが報じている。

時事ドットコムでは、薄被告には政治権利の終身剥奪と全財産没収も言い渡されたと伝えた上で以下のように解説している。

薄被告は公判で、審査段階で認めた罪を一転否認。国家権力と全面対決する姿勢を鮮明にしていたが、法院は「事実ははっきりしており、証拠は確実・十分だ」と認定。重い判決を下した。

これまでに朝日新聞デジタルが報じたところによると、薄熙来被告は以下のような汚職や職権乱用の容疑で起訴されていた。

検察が読み上げた起訴状によると、薄元書記は大連市長だった1999年から商務相時代の2006年にかけて職務を利用して他人に不正な便宜をはかり、00年から12年までに、妻の谷開来受刑者(殺人罪で執行猶予付き死刑判決)や息子を通じて業者などから2179万元(約3億5千万円)相当の賄賂を受け取った、とされた。

02年には大連市に支払われた500万元(約8千万円)の工事資金を、妻が経営していた弁護士事務所の口座などに振り込み、横領。また、重慶市の書記だった12年初め、谷受刑者が殺人罪に問われた英国人殺人事件や、王立軍元副市長(国を裏切り逃亡した罪などで懲役15年の判決)の米総領事館への駆け込み事件をめぐり、「職権乱用があった」とされた。

共産党指導部の政治局員を務めた高官が裁かれるのは、2008年に収賄罪などで懲役18年の判決を受けた陳良宇・元上海市党委書記以来のことだ。

コトバンクに掲載された「知恵蔵2013」の解説によると、薄熙来被告は高級幹部の子弟である「太子党」に含まれ、習近平・国家主席と同じグループとみなされている。太子党は、前国家主席の胡錦濤氏の出身母体である「共青団」のグループとライバル関係にあるとされているため、ネット上では今回の裁判を「派閥争いの延長」と醒めた目で見る人もいる。

レコードチャイナによると、人民法院は中国版ツイッター「微博(ウェイボー)」で裁判の進行状況や法定内の写真を公開する異例の措置を取った。裁判の公正性と透明性を世界にアピールするなど例のない広報活動だったという。
