アメリカと国交正常化交渉を開始したキューバ。そのキューバが革命を起こして社会主義になってから、核戦争寸前まで行った、いわゆるキューバ危機まで、当時の写真を集めた。

フィデル・カストロ議長らが1959年、親米政権を倒し社会主義国とした後の1961年以来、国交のなかったキューバとアメリカ。12月17日、アメリカは国交正常化に向けて交渉を開始したことを発表した

キューバ革命が起こったのは冷戦まっただ中の1950年代。1962年には社会主義国となったキューバにソ連がミサイル基地を建設し、それを牽制するアメリカが周辺海域を封鎖。核戦争へ一触即発の危機に陥った。キューバ革命からキューバ危機までの写真を集めた。
