[東京 9日 ロイター] - MMD研究所(東京都渋谷区)が実施した米アップルの新型iPhone(アイフォーン)の購入意向調査によると、「購入したい」と「やや購入したい」を合わせた回答者数は30.4%となり、「あまり購入したくない」と「購入したくない」の42.2%を下回った。

購入したい理由は「興味があるから」が43.4%で最も多く、以下、「更新のタイミングだから」が39.7%で続いた。一方、購入したくない理由は「必要性がないから」が43.5%、「端末価格が高いから」が24.1%だった。

購入希望者に購入時期・予約について聞いたところ、最も多かったのは「予約はしないが、6カ月以内には購入したい」で38.2%、次いで「予約はしないが、3カ月以内には購入したい」が16.5%だった。

アップルはサンフランシスコで現地時間9月9日午前10時(日本時間10日午前2時)にイベントを開催。イベントではiPhone6Sのほか、テレビに接続して動画などを再生する次世代版「アップルTV」などの発表が予想されている。

過去の調査を振り返ると、iPhone5S・5Cの発売前の購入意向は58.4%、iPhone6の発売前の購入意向は35.8%と、購入意向は低下傾向にある。

調査期間は9月1日から3日。回答者はNTTドコモ、KDDI(au)、ソフトバンクのスマートフォン利用者各1000人の合計3000人。
