われわれは、街で売られている特大の強力ドリンクのいくつかをとりあげ、食べ物と比較してみた。米国のセブン-イレブンで販売されている、炭酸飲料マウンテン・デュー「ダブル・ガルプ」に含まれる糖分が193グラムだという数字を聞くのと、それはベン&ジェリーズのアイスクリーム2パイント(約1リットル)分と同じ糖分だと知るのでは、だいぶイメージが違うと思う。

ほかに、ビッグマックよりカロリーが多いマンゴージュースや、普通の人の胃の容量より量が多いアイスコーヒー、ポテトチップ3袋より脂肪分が多いフローズンコーヒーなどが紹介されている。
