エジプトのモルシ大統領が就任1年を迎えた30日、全土でモルシ氏退陣を求める大規模デモが発生し、首都カイロのタハリール広場では約20万人が集結、そのうち数万人が大統領宮殿周辺の道路を埋め尽くして包囲した。反大統領派は今回のデモをムバラク前政権が倒れた2011年の政変に続く「第2革命」と位置づけており、レッドカードを手に「モルシーは去れ!」と要求している。

エジプトのモルシ大統領が就任1年を迎えた30日、全土でモルシ氏退陣を求める大規模デモが発生し、首都カイロのタハリール広場では約20万人が集結、そのうち数万人が大統領宮殿周辺の道路を埋め尽くして包囲した。共同通信が伝えた。

エジプトではムバラク政権の崩壊後、穏健派イスラム団体「ムスリム同胞団」が母体となって設立した「自由と公正党」の初代党首モルシ氏が大統領に就任。30日で1年を迎えた。これにあわせて反大統領派は経済や治安の悪化は大統領の責任だとして、退陣を求めるデモを全国で呼びかけた。

首都カイロでは、市内7か所から反大統領派が大統領宮殿に向かって行進をはじめ、宮殿の周囲を包囲している。一方、イスラム勢力を中心とした大統領支持派は宮殿から3キロほど離れた道路を占拠して集会を開き、「必要ならば大統領を守るために衝突も辞さない」と対立姿勢を強めているとNHKは伝えている。

産経新聞によると、反大統領派は今回のデモをムバラク前政権が倒れた2011年の政変に続く「第2革命」と位置づけており、レッドカードを手に「モルシーは去れ!」と要求している。

対話を呼びかけるモルシ大統領側と、あくまで退陣を求める反大統領側との溝は埋まらず、収束の見通しは立っていない。
