「私は日本人、撃たないで」逆効果か【バングラデシュ人質事件】

バングラデシュの首都ダッカで7月1日、武装集団がレストランを襲撃した人質テロ事件で、銃声の中で「私は日本人だ、撃たないで」 という声が聞こえたと、複数の新聞社が報じた。

バングラデシュの首都ダッカで7月1日、武装集団がレストランを襲撃した人質テロ事件で、銃声の中で「私は日本人だ、撃たないで」 という声が聞こえたと、複数の新聞社が報じた。この事件では「日本人7人が死亡した」と菅義偉官房長官が発表している

朝日新聞デジタルは、レストランの隣に住む韓国系アメリカ人(61)の話として、テロリストの男たちが襲撃したときの模様を以下のように伝えた。

1人が門から店の敷地に入ると、すぐ近くにいた日本人男性が「私は日本人だ!」と英語で3回叫び、「どうか、撃たないでくれ」と懇願していた。男たちは屋外席にいた客らに発砲すると、店内に入った。

産経ニュースも近隣に住むレストラン経営の女性(49)の話として、銃声の中で懇願するような男性の声が聞こえてきたと報じた。

周囲は暗く、詳しい様子は分からなかったが、銃声の中で懇願するような男性の声が聞こえてきた。

「アイム・ジャパニーズ、ドント・シュート(私は日本人です、撃たないで)」。女性は産経新聞の取材に、「まるで戦争のようだった」と話した。

このとき叫んでいたのは、40歳代ぐらいの男性で「テロリストの男たちに店内に連れ込まれるのを見た」という報道も出ている。男性の安否は不明だ。

■「イスラム国」を名乗る組織が犯行声明

過激派組織「イスラム国」(IS)のバングラデシュ支部を名乗り、「22人を殺害した」とする犯行声明が日本時間3日未明、インターネット上に出た。

NHKニュースによると、この声明は「イタリア人を含む『十字軍の国』の人々を殺害した。イスラム教徒の殺害を続けるかぎり、十字軍の国の人々に安全は確保されないと知らしめるためだ」などと主張しているという。日本人に関する言及はなかった。

■元外交官「日本人なら無害は過去の話」

バングラデシュは、親日国として知られてきた中での衝撃の事件。元外交官の孫崎享(まごさき・うける)さんは、報道されている男性の言動について、「残念ながら日本人なら無害は過去の話」と言及。日本人であることをアピールしても、イスラム過激派のテロを避けるのは難しいと指摘した。

ISが後藤健二さんの殺害時に、安倍首相に対して「おまえの国民を場所を問わずに殺りくするだろう」というメッセージを出したことを例に挙げて、次のようにTwitterに投稿した。

このほか、ジャーナリストの江川紹子さんも「逆効果にさえなるのかも」と指摘している。
