若手バレエダンサーの登竜門として知られるアメリカの「ジャクソン国際バレエコンクール」で6月27日、審査結果が発表され、加瀬栞さん（22）が金賞、宮崎たま子さん（25）が銀賞に輝いた。
加瀬さんと宮崎さんは２００６年にニューヨークで開かれた国際コンクール「ユース・アメリカ・グランプリ」でそれぞれ３位と２位に入った。ジャクソンのコンクールで日本人が金賞を受賞したのは前々回の０６年以来。

アメリカ・ミシシッピ州ジャクソンで開かれるこのバレエコンクールは4年に1回の開催。今回は20カ国から約100人が招待されていた。
