女優の北川景子さん（29）とタレントで歌手のDAIGOさん（37）が2016年1月に結婚することになった。サンスポなどが10月8日、報じた。新年に新たなスタートを切りたいという思いで1月上旬を選んだという。
関係者によると、８月に「２４時間テレビ」のチャリティーマラソンに挑戦したＤＡＩＧＯは、１００キロを完走後にプロポーズし、北川が快諾したという。すでに両家へのあいさつも済ませており、婚姻届は来年１月上旬に提出する予定。北川は妊娠はしておらず、結婚後も女優業を続ける。
５月のマラソン会見でＤＡＩＧＯは、スタートを切る８月２２日が北川の誕生日であるため、「（完走が）最高のプレゼントになるという方もいるけれど、誕生日プレゼントは別にちゃんと用意したい」と宣言。“予告”どおり一生の愛を北川に誓った。

2人は、北川さんが主演した2011年1月期のTBSドラマ「LADY」で初共演。2014年1月にバラエティー番組で再会して意気投合し、同年春ごろから交際に発展していた。
北川さんは、兵庫県生まれ。ファッション誌「セブンティーン」のモデルを経て、2003年にTBS「美少女戦士セーラームーン」で女優デビューした。
DAIGOさんは、東京都生まれで故竹下登元首相の孫。2003年に「DAIGO☆STARDUST」の名で歌手デビューし、2007年からロックバンド「BREAKERZ」のボーカルとして活動している。
