中田浩二が引退発表 元サッカー日本代表 「夢のような14年間、ありがとう」

元日本代表DFの中田浩二が現役引退することを、所属先の鹿島アントラーズが12月3日に発表した。

元日本代表DFの中田浩二(35)が現役引退することを、所属先の鹿島アントラーズが12月3日に発表した。今後はクラブスタッフとして残留する方向で話し合いを行うという。

6日にホームのカシマスタジアムで開催される鳥栖戦の終了後、引退の挨拶を行う予定だ。

中田は滋賀県出身。ORICON STYLEによると、1998年に帝京高校から鹿島に入団。同世代の小笠原満男や本山雅志とともに中心選手として活躍し、チームの黄金時代を築いた。2000年に日本代表に初招集され、02年の日韓W杯ではトルシエ監督から信頼を得て4試合にフル出場、ジーコ監督が率いる06年のドイツW杯にも出場した。

「このたび、たくさんの思い出と感謝の気持ちを胸に現役を引退することを決断しました。いくつかの選択肢を前に、プロ選手としての葛藤はありましたが、やはりアントラーズで現役を終えることが自分にとって最良であるという結論に至りました。

今後は今までと違った形でチームを支え、クラブの発展に貢献したいと考えています。立場を変えてアントラーズをサポートできるよう、将来についてクラブとしっかり話し合いたいと思います。

最後になりましたが、今までピッチで共に戦ってきたチームメイト、クラブスタッフ、そしてサポーターの皆さん、夢のような14年間、本当にありがとうございました。そして、これからもよろしくお願いします」
