韓国南西部の珍島で起きた旅客船「セウォル号」の沈没事故で、韓国政府の対策本部が、管制センターとの交信記録を公開した。聯合ニュースが報じた記録をみると、船長らセウォル号側が乗客の安全確保や避難に「不可能だ」「動けない」と、一貫して消極的だったとの印象を受ける。主な交信内容を紹介する。
4月21日午前8時50分時点で、死者は61人、行方不明者は241人。
