熊本城は地震でどうなったか? 比較写真で分かる深刻な被害

熊本地震によって、熊本城は櫓や門など重要文化財に指定されている13の建築物全てで深刻な被害が出ている。

熊本地震によって、熊本城は櫓や門など重要文化財に指定されている13の建築物全てで深刻な被害が出ている。NHKニュースなどが4月18日までに報じた。全長242メートルの長塀は、約100メートルが倒壊。東十八間櫓は石垣ごと崩落した。往事の姿を残す5階建ての宇土櫓も一部損壊した

戦後に復元された建物も大きな被害が出ている。1960年再建の大天守は屋根瓦が剥がれ、しゃちほこも落下。2005年再建の飯田丸五階櫓は石垣の崩壊が続き、櫓がいつ落下してもおかしくない状態となっている。熊本城総合事務所は、「修復に10年以上を要する可能性がある」との見通しを明らかにした
