ニルヴァーナのカート・コバーン死去から20年、自殺現場で未現像フィルム発見

CLEVELAND, OHIO - Nov.31, 2013:Kurt Cobain is picture to the entrance of the Legends of Rock and Roll exhibit The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a story about Voices for Yes, a bi-partisan effort on behalf of Democrats and Republicans to get the rock band Yes into the Roll Hall of Fame, which had been snubbed by the nominating committee since 1995 until this year. It's the brainchild of John Brabender, who ran Rick Santorum's presidential campaign, and Tad Devine, who was a senior advisor to John Kerry's and Al Gore's bids for the White House. It is a look at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, how it operates, and the band Yes, who was the most successful of the progressive rock bands of the 1970s, who has always had a passionate fan base but never quite the critics' darlings. ニルヴァーナのボーカル死去から20年、先月に未現像フィルム発見

米グランジロックバンド「ニルヴァーナ」のボーカルだった故カート・コバーンさんが２７歳の時に銃で頭を撃って自殺してから、今月５日で２０年を迎える。

最近になって、自殺現場から現像されていないフィルム数本が発見されたが、ワシントン州シアトルの警察当局によると、コバーンの死因が自殺とのこれまでの捜査結果を覆すものではないという。

ニルヴァーナは、１９９０年代のグランジロックシーンをけん引。１９９１年リリースの「スメルズ・ライク・ティーン・スピリット」のスマッシュヒットで一躍世界的に有名となった。［４日 ロイター］
