アメリカの歌手レディー・ガガが、2015年初めに行われる音楽祭で宇宙から歌声を届ける計画を進めていることがわかった。歌手が宇宙で熱唱するのは世界初の試みだという。スポニチが報じた。

米芸能誌Usウイークリー(電子版)は6日、米歌手レディー・ガガ(27)が、2015年初めに米西部で開かれる音楽祭に、宇宙から歌声を届ける計画が進んでいると報じた。

Usウイークリーによれば、ガガは民間の宇宙船に搭乗し、アメリカのニューメキシコ州で行われる音楽祭「ゼロGコロニー」で、宇宙から1曲届けるようだ。この音楽祭は、エンターテインメントの先端技術をテーマにしているという。

ガガ本人も、Twitterで「噂の真相は、(新アルバムの)『アートホップ』が発売される11月10日にわかる」とつぶやいている。

関係者によれば、ガガは宇宙でのパフォーマンスに備えて、高額の生命保険に入り、1カ月の発声練習などを取り組むという。

ガガは宇宙空間の無重力に対応するため関係者は「1カ月の発声練習が必要になる」と話した。別の関係者は「かなり高額の生命保険に入るようだ」とも明かした。宇宙船にはガガの衣装担当などスタッフも乗り込むという。

ガガは、民間宇宙旅行の実現を目指して設立されたヴァージン・ギャラクティック社の宇宙船に搭乗予定。同社は、2014年のサービス開始を目指している。
