切手の博物館（東京都豊島区）は4月22日、同館の正面玄関前にある郵便ポストを、5月1日から漫画家・楳図かずおさん（79）の人気キャラ「まことちゃん」をデザインに取り込んだ「まことちゃんポスト」にすると発表した。同館の会館20周年を記念し、手紙文化に触れあう機会を進めていく目的で設置する。
切手の博物館は国内外の切手約35万種、封筒類約1万5000枚などを所有する珍しい博物館。1989年12月に東京・新宿に仮オープンをしたのち、1996年4月8日、現在の地で開館した。
ポストが設置される5月1日には除幕式が行われ、楳図さんがポストに初投函する。1日～5日には、同館内で記念小型印の消印サービスや、記念切手などの販売も行う。
