インド南部ケララ州の警察当局は11月26日、現地を旅行中の日本人女性(35)に性的暴行を加えたとして、インド人の男を逮捕した。産経ニュースなどが報じた。


女性はけがをしており、病院で手当てを受けている。警察は、インド人の手工芸品商の男、テジャ容疑者(25)を強姦致傷容疑で逮捕した。

警察によれば、女性は今月25日、同州内の海岸で知り合ったテジャ容疑者に手工芸品をみないかと店に誘われたが、店ではなく、同容疑者の部屋に連れ込まれ、性的暴行を受けた。女性はテジャ容疑者に事件を口外しないよう脅されていたが、負傷して出血していたため、ホテルに帰った後、病院に行き、医師が警察に届け出たという。

15年1月には当時20歳の日本人女性を監禁して集団で性的暴行を加えたとして、インド人の男らが逮捕されている
